Church Health

In the life of every church it can be very helpful to step back and take some time to evaluate what areas the church is doing well on and also what are those area that could use some construction work.

We utilize an evaluation tool called (NCD) Natural Church Development. The premise begins by assuming that healthy things will grow and as our churches gain greater levels of health they will then naturally grow.

The church is similar to a barrel made of wooden staves. Just as the barrel can only hold water up to the level of the shortest wooden stave, the church is only as healthy as its weakest area.

The NCD survey helps to lift out those short staves or construction areas in the church and give some practical direction on how to strengthen them.

The process begins with the pastor or elder contacting our Church Health Overseer (Darris Arnold at pnwd@att.net) He will set you up with the surveys that the leaders and core people of the church will take. Upon evaluation, Darris will come to your church for a weekend and meet with your leadership and core people and review the findings.

This service is available to you for only the cost of the surveys and has been of great benefit to many churches in our district. Your church does not need to be in crisis in order to enjoy the benefits of a Church health tune up.
